1. Chilaquiles

8. Za’atar
Another globetrotter in the travel discussion mentions their love of a dish they encountered while visiting the Middle Eastern country of Jordan: za’atar on pita bread. Za’atar is a blended seasoning made from coriander, cumin, marjoram, oregano, salt, sesame seeds, sumac, and thyme.
A staple of Middle Eastern cuisine, the herbs in za’atar can vary regionally and are used to season a variety of foods, including hummus and baba ganoush.
9. Bun Cha Hanoi
Bun cha Hanoi is now their go-to dish for a tourist on the thread whenever they visit a Vietnamese restaurant. Bun cha Hanoi has grilled pork meatballs, thin slices of pork shoulder, and rice vermicelli noodles. This meal comes with broth, sweet chili sauce, and fresh herbs.
10. Loco Moco
A classic meal from Hawaii, loco moco has various incarnations. Traditionally, it’s a layered dish made from a hamburger patty resting on a bed of white rice, topped with a fried egg, and covered in brown gravy.
