Along the coast of Wright’s Beach, California, you’ll find many photo-worthy areas. Wright’s Beach has 27 camping areas and is dog-friendly, as long as you keep your pet on a leash. While camping at Wright’s Beach, you can snag rates as low as $35/night and book your reservations up to six months in advance. One essential thing to note about this campsite is that they don’t offer portable water-filling areas, so you’ll need to fill up your water at Bodega Dunes.

2. Apostle Islands National Lakeshore: Wisconsin

Apostle Islands in Wisconsin consists of 21 islands, and you can go camping on 18 of them, with 15 offering backcountry camping. Backcountry camping is for those visitors who wish to have a more secluded camping experience. To camp out on the Apostle Islands, you can pay $15/night and book your camping trip up to 30 days before arriving.

3. Ocracoke Campground, North Carolina

Ocracoke Campground in North Carolina consists of 16 miles of coastline that you can travel to by ferryboat or plane. While camping out on the islands, you can bring your pet and choose from one of its 136 sites some of the top amenities. Ocracoke Campground is open all year long and is RV-friendly for vehicles that are under 40 feet, even though you’ll have to do without an electrical hookup.

Located between Charleston and Savannah is Hunting Island State Park, an area with one of the most beautiful camping sites in the state of South Carolina. If you love quiet and seclusion, this state park has 100 campsites that welcome RVs and tents and offer many outdoor activities to keep you occupied. In addition, when booking your trip, you’ll need to book for a minimum of two nights.

Assateague Island National Seashore, one of the hidden gems in Maryland, is an outdoor lover’s dream; with more than 300 types of birds and ponies on site, camping here is like nothing you’ve ever experienced! While camping here gives its visitors plenty to do, you can also bike and walk around its breathtaking island. It’s essential to note that you can only camp in the Maryland location of the preserve.

From activities like stargazing and snorkeling off its sandy white beaches, Bahia Honda State Park offers visitors a selection of 80 campsites. Many of the 80 campsites even include water and electric hookups. In addition, while staying at any of these campsites, you’ll get to take advantage of amenities that include a restaurant, amphitheater, hot showers, and restroom facilities.

At Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, they offer many campsites that come with electricity, showers, and much more! While camping at Sleeping Bear Dunes, you’ll be able to experience breathtaking views while on top of the 450-foot dunes. While visiting the area, you can camp at the D.H. Day Campground, North Manitou Island, Empire Township Campground, and Platte River Campground.

Cape Look National Seashore in North Carolina has a stunning beach camping site where you can set up your tent on the dunes. Surrounded by over 50 miles of undisturbed beaches, you’ll get a glimpse of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, and on days when it’s open, you can climb it and take in panoramic views of the island. While you can’t camp in this area with a tent or trailer, you are allowed to vehicle camp in this location. However, it’s essential to remember that when camping on busy holidays such as the Fourth of July and Labor Day, you’ll want to book well in advance.
