Somehow, the fact that it happened in Florida makes it alright.
2. The FBI Raid
We have something that resembles a scene from a Hollywood blockbuster. The FBI raided a residence that belonged to a former president. The reason? They were searching for some stolen classified documents. About a dozen boxes were seized from the raid. One would think this was all there was to it, but it was only the beginning of many probes that were part of an investigation. Someone says, “Who would imagine a former president would steal nuclear secrets to sell to the Russians? Or even the Saudis like his son-in-law?” Talk about an international drama; Florida has it all.
3. The Alligator Incident
A contributor shares a sad incident in Disney World seven years ago; an alligator snatched a child in front of his family. There was no provocation; the child only bent down close to the lagoon to get some sand, and that was when the unfortunate accident happened. According to the reports, the child’s dad reached out to try to save his son, but it was too late. Thankfully, that was the first and last time something like that happened on Disney property.
4. The Worst Neighbor
There are loads of neighbors harming neighbors stories in Florida. We’re serious. It’s almost like the people in Florida have a knack for these crimes. One person shares a documentary he was watching about some guy in Florida. The guy in question murdered his neighbors successfully for a while. The way he was caught was one of the funniest ways to get caught for a crime. The policeman noticed that he looked too weird, saying, “The guy was weird, even for Florida.”
5. Cover Up For A Deputy
The Sheriff at St. Johns County seemed to be in the mix with a murder that was initially ruled as the person taking their own life. The victim’s family refused to believe that their daughter had full responsibility for her death, and so they tore the case apart piece by piece until the truth was forced out. It seems the parties involved in this story are all connected to the Sheriff’s office, which made things a bit more complicated. The story revolved around domestic violence, murder, and an alleged coverup. It’s the ultimate crime story — only it happened for real.
6. Drug Sharks
Yes, we mean exactly what you read: drug sharks. Scientists say that sharks might be feeding off substances dumped on the Florida coast by smugglers trying to get their product into the U.S. The reason for this conclusion is that sharks are now acting in ways that they shouldn’t be. The bright side of this? It’s some solid material for some Jaws-like masterpiece.
7. The Vengeful Girlfriend
If you think you’ve seen it all in Florida, think again. A guy found out that his girlfriend had been cheating on him. We can’t imagine the hurt he felt finding out that the person he trusted most would betray him. He did the next best thing he could think of — he ended things with her. That’s not the end of things. The girl got mad that her boyfriend broke up with her because she cheated and wanted to stab him. Thankfully, she wasn’t successful.
8. An Accidental Sale
To cut the story short, a businessman wanted to buy a building. He planned to transform the place into a personal training studio. He got “several thousand gallons” of shock when he found out that he didn’t just buy the building at the base of Florida’s City Water but also accidentally purchased the Water Tower. Don’t fret; the water tower is the town’s own again.
9. A Darth Vader Robbery
A guy woke up on a beautiful Sunday morning. We have yet to determine whether he hatched his plan on the same day, the day before, or a week earlier. All we know is that around 5:00 PM, he walked into a convenience store and tried to rob it. We’re curious to know which is funnier: him robbing the store in a Darth Vader costume or that he failed woefully. He thought the force would be with him — they weren’t pleased.
10. Pudding Fingers
Someone reminds the internet that a governor who allegedly ate his pudding with his fingers was elected into office. When the governor was asked about his pudding fingers, he didn’t do enough to convince folks that it was all false. We know it isn’t the worst thing on Earth, but some people find it thrilling and hilarious. Then again, let’s let the man have his puddings with his fingers if that makes him happy.
