I’ve spent a lot of time in Kamloops, so I’ve put together this list of my favorite dining spots to make your decision about where to eat easier.

1. Brownstone Restaurant
If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience, look no further than Brownstone Restaurant.
This restaurant, located in downtown Kamloops, boasts a menu full of locally sourced and seasonal ingredients that are sure to please any palate.
They also have an impressive wine list, making it the perfect spot for a romantic night out or a special celebration.
Order the ahi tuna if it is on the menu, but their steak is the best I had in a long time.

2. Cordo Resto + Bar
Cordo serves regionally inspired cuisine that pairs perfectly with craft beers on top and a great selection of Kamploops wine and wines from the Okanagan region or cocktails.
I would suggest trying their craft gin flight.
For dinner, consider the Campanelle pasta, which is hand-made pasta from local Sorriso’s, a well-known authentic Italian restaurant and Deli in Kamloops. I love how much they support their locals.
The atmosphere is cozy. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated. The food is fantastic, and the staff is top-notch.
They also have a dog-friendly patio.

3. Hello Toast
Start your day off right with a wholesome breakfast at Hello Toast on Victoria St.
This popular spot is always packed with locals and visitors alike, so be sure to get there early.
They serve all of your favorite breakfast staples, but what really sets them apart is their vegan menu options.
People go wild for their eggs benedict and strawberry shortcake stuffed toast, but I can’t stop ordering their homemade oatmeal.

4. Amsterdam Restaurant
Another foodie hot spot in Kamloops is Amsterdam Restaurant. The restaurant serves all-day breakfast and lunch.
It might take some time for you to get in, as a line of people craving a tasty breakfast can be pretty long, especially on weekends. But the food is well worth the wait.
There is a bit for everyone on their menu – North American, European, vegan, vegetarian, and even gluten-free options.
Dutch pancakes and Amsterdam egg benedict are not to be missed.
This locally owned restaurant has been in business for over 20 years, which speaks for itself.

5. Frankly Coffee and Bistro
One of the top things about Frankly Coffee is that they serve all-day breakfast.
This place offers homemade food, exceptional customer service, and reasonable prices.
It’s also an excellent spot to grab a coffee to go and some freshly baked pastries made from scratch in-house.
Cookies, squares, scones, muffins, cinnamon buns, carrot cakes, banana bread, you name it.
They have all the classic hot drinks but also more sophisticated ones, such as Chai latte or London Fog.
It’s a cozy spot to relax with friends and is centrally located, with a paid parking lot right next door or lots of street parking on Lansdowne.

6. Peter’s Pasta
Peter’s Pasta has been a local’s favorite choice in Kamloops for more than 20 years, and it’s easy to see why.
This family-run restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine that will make you feel like you’re right in the heart of Italy.
Their pasta is always exquisite, made fresh daily, and their all-you-can-eat dinners on Tuesday nights have lineups before the restaurant even opens.
You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’m partial to the seafood puttanesca and veal mushroom.
It’s one of those Kamloops restaurants that will make you want to keep coming back.

Sorriso is all about Italian food made with love. And the best part is all of their pasta is homemade in-house.
The food is super fresh and authentic Italian.
Make sure to check out their deli section, where you can buy great Italian products, many of which are made on-site.
Local favorites are spaghetti with meatballs and lasagna.

8. Nandi’s Flavours of India
Kamloops restaurants offer some of the most breathtaking views in all of BC. From the banks of the Thompson River to the top of Sahali, there are plenty of places to enjoy a meal with a view.
But the view at Nandi’s Flavours of India is hard to beat.
Order the tandoori prawns and tikka masala but save room for their garlic naan bread. They also have plenty of vegetarian options.
The food is fantastic, but it’s the view that really makes this restaurant stand out.

If you’re looking for a Kamloops restaurant serving healthy, wholesome meals, look no further than The Art We Are Cafe.
Everything is homemade, and they offer a wide variety of vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options.
Most of their ingredients are sourced from local farmers to support the community and provide fresh, healthy dishes.
Their salads and wraps are packed with nutritious ingredients, and their soups are the perfect comfort food for a chilly day.
They also have some hot or cold beverages, and their desserts won’t make you feel guilty for indulging your sweet tooth.

The outdoor seating on their patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny day, and their pretzels are the ideal snack to go along with your pint. The patio is dog friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends.

The Noble Pig Brewhouse is Kamloops’ first microbrewery with a pub grub menu.

I recommend their Noble Pig IPA and epic pulled pork mac and cheese. You can even add truffle oil for a unique twist.

Looking for the best pizza in Kamloops? Look no further than Bold Pizzeria.
This popular spot has a wood-fired oven that gives their pizzas a unique flavor. If you like a thin pizza crust, you’re going to love Bold.
They have all your favorite toppings to choose from, but I recommend trying one of their signature pies.
The Prosciutto Arugula and Demeter are my personal favorites, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Bold never disappoints!
The atmosphere is laid-back, and they also have a small outdoor patio.

Fancy a delicious brunch? Then visit ROMEO’s Kitchen + Spirits inside the Coast Kamloops Hotel.
This popular local spot offers a great range of brunch dining options, but you must try the Caramel Macchiato French Toast. It’s a work of art and tastes even better than it looks. Trust me on this one.
Their brunch is served until 1 pm, an excellent choice for a late breakfast.
For a unique dining experience, enjoy your meal in their igloo bubbles with stunning views.

15. Arigato Sushi
Arigato Sushi is the perfect place to eat for a quick and delicious meal.
Their sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had. They have two locations, but if it is your first time, head to their location in Aberdeen Village Center.
I recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll, Crazy California Roll, and Salmon Roll.
But if you’re feeling adventurous, try one of their specialty rolls like the Dragon Roll or Rainbow Roll.

There’s no better place than Tiger Ramen for an authentic bowl of ramen. Tiger Ramen is a hidden gem in Kamloops.
Rich and flavorsome ramen broths and great cozy vibes make this a great quick lunch stop.
Their signature Tsukemen with fried dumplings is a popular choice.
This place will make you feel like being in Japan without leaving Canada. You can tell that the owner is Japanese. The locals rave about it, and for a good reason.

This family-owned restaurant has amazing service, delicious food, and a great selection of reasonably-priced cocktails.
Their tacos and loaded burritos are phenomenal and will make you want to order more.

Sandbar Grill is a locally owned Kamloops restaurant with a spectacular waterfront patio overlooking the Thompson river.

Sandbar Grill is famous for their delicious burgers with funky names and BBQ-style dishes. They also have an extensive selection of drinks so you can sip your favorite cocktail while taking in the view.
