TOP 5 Grutas de Tolantongo Hotels to Stay in 2024

The Grutas de Tolantongo is one of the natural wonders of the Mexican state of Hidalgo.

Its hot springs are internationally known. Because of this, more and more visitors are coming here every year.

If you haven’t been able to visit them yet, you should check them out.

In today’s post, I will show you the best Grutas de Tolantongo hotels if you decide to visit. Keep in mind that the hotels in the area do not offer online reservations.

Where is Tolantongo, Mexico?

Las Grutas de Tolantongo is located in Hidalgo (about 200 km from Mexico City).

I recommend leaving early because the drive is approximately four hours from Mexico City.

Take the highway to Pachuca, heading to Actopan and then to Ixmiquilpan. From there, you will see the signs to reach the Tolantongo Caves.

When you get there, you can go directly to the caves or take the road to the pools.

I opted for the pools because that is where the Hotel Paraíso Escondido is located, where I stayed.
